Speak Up & Get Support

Safeguarding signposting for Swindon residents

Swindon Together is an independent community information project. We are not a safeguarding authority, investigator, police service, social-services department, legal adviser or emergency service. We do not investigate individual allegations or decide whether something has happened. The information below helps you find the right professional support and reporting routes.

If someone is in immediate danger

If someone is in danger right now, call 999. Ask for the police, ambulance or fire service. If you cannot speak safely, call 999 then press 55 to let the operator know you need help. You can also text 999 if you have registered your phone for the emergency SMS service.

Swindon Together is not an emergency response service. In an emergency, always contact the appropriate emergency service directly.

If you think a child or young person is being harmed, neglected or is at risk, you can contact Swindon's Multi-Agency Safeguarding Hub (MASH). You do not need to be certain — if something does not feel right, it is okay to ask for help.

“Being listened to matters. Knowing where to turn matters. If something feels wrong, you deserve to know what support and reporting options are available.”
